DOG LICENSES
ALL dogs over the age of six months MUST be licensed. The fee is $22 for a male or female dog and $11 for a dog that has been spayed or neutered. Special licenses are required for Breeders. Please contact the Clerk's Office for details. Residents must submit copy of the Rabies Vaccination Certificate and Spaying or Neutering Certificate with appropriate fee to Town Clerk's Office.
COPIES OF MINUTES, LOCAL LAWS, ETC.
Copies of minutes of Town Board, Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeal meetings are available in the Town Clerk's Office for a fee of $.25 per page. There is no fee for copies of the current Town Budget or most recent audit report, or of a particular Local Law or excerpt thereof. Zoning Books are available for purchase at $10.00 and will be mailed for an additional fee to cover postage.
MARRIAGE LICENSES
The bride and groom must come together to apply for a license, at least 24 hours before the wedding, but no more than 60 days in advance with the exception of an active military applicant in which case can be up to 180 days in advance. Bring a Certified Transcript of both birth certificates, baptismal record including date and place of birth and parents names, naturalization record or census record AND photo I.D. (Driver's License, Non-Driver's License, Passport, Employment picture ID or Immigration record). If the marriage is not the first, either certified divorce papers or death certificates must be shown at the time of application. The license is $40.00 in cash or check. All required documents and the application for a marriage license may be emailed to the Town Clerk and to dmanley@whitestown.net for review prior to setting up an appointment.

COPIES OF MARRIAGE, BIRTH OR DEATH CERTIFICATES
Copies of Marriage Licenses that had previously been applied for, through this office, can be obtained and be issued to only the person named on the document. The fee is $10.00 per copy. An application must be filled out and you must have a valid photo ID.
Birth and Death Certificates are available through our town registrar. Birth Certificates are only issued to the person named in the document; Death Certificates to members of the immediate family. Birth and Death Certificates are available through the town if the birth or death occurred in the home. Home births occurring in the following villages within the Town are obtainable through the designated Village Registrars for the dates specified: New York Mills, 1922-on; Oriskany, 1916-on; Whitesboro, 1906-on; Yorkville, 1920-on. Any date prior to the above years would be filed with the Town of Whitestown. Records may be applied for in person or by mail with the applicant providing Photo I.D. The fee for Birth or Death records is $10.00 per copy.
REGISTERING TO VOTE
U.S. citizens, 18 years of age and older, are eligible to vote provided they are properly registered. All voter registration is done by mail. Forms are available at the Board of Elections and may be picked up in person or sent upon request. The registration form must be completed and mailed to the Oneida County Board of Elections, Union Station, 321 Main Street, 3rd Floor, Utica NY 13501.
ABSENTEE BALLOTS
Applying for an Absentee Ballot is a two step process. Application forms are available from the Board of Elections and must be completed and returned to the Oneida County Board of Elections. The Board will then send the ballot to the applicant. The address of the Board of Elections is Oneida County Board of Elections, Union Station, 321 Main Street, 3rd Floor, Utica, NY 13501.
HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMIT
Applications for residents of the Town of Whitestown and the Village of Oriskany are available at the Town Clerk's Office. The applicant and his/her physician must complete the forms. Please bring in a valid driver's license for proof, since New York State requires the last three digits of the driver's license on the permit. The application is then returned to this office and a Permanent Permit is issued for a period of five years. Temporary Permit is issued for up to six months. The permit is valid in New York State and is recognized in many other states as well.
